About This Development Plan
The EXCO Members of KLWFA has developed this Development Plan for 2026 (“The Plan”). It recognises that whilst there are and will always be individual needs within KLWFA, there is the requirement to develop a robust plan that will focus on the recruitment and retention of KLWFA members, volunteers, coaches and players.
Mission Statement
"We will deliver KLWFA development framework around the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur that will provide a clear and effective programme of Walking Football development, with the aim of increasing participation and developing the full potential of players, coaches, officials and volunteers within KLWFA."
Vision
To be the most successful Walking Football Association in Malaysia judged against increasing and sustainable participation through new registration of members and players performances.
Core Objectives
- To create a solid and sustainable volunteer base within the Exco members that will ensure the best people are in the most appropriate positions to lead the development of KLWFA.
- To ensure KLWFA has a sustainable coaching structure and coach development programme in place to enable the delivery of the plan.
- To create a sustainable members’ recruitment and development programme based around the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and supported by a phased series of satellite centres/hubs.
Structure to Support Delivery
KLWFA will create a sustainable structure of training bases which will be supported by a series of satellite hubs based around high school clusters and districts within the Capital City of Kuala Lumpur.
The structure will focus on developing sustainable programmes around volunteer recruitment and retention, coach recruitment, retention and development, and players recruitment, retention and development.
